We have often been asked if we have ALS springs to go with the ASC (ALS Spring Cap) ASC (ALS Spring Cap), as factory springs sometimes wear out and lose tension or break, and need to be replaced, Safariland doesn’t sell the ALS springs.
We decided to make our own. We didn’t make a carbon copy of the factory spring, we wanted to improve on them, so we made the spring stronger and less likely to break, the new spring has a slightly larger diameter which also increases the spring rate by about 50%. The larger diameter, reinforced ALS spring is made from music wire spring steel, it seats in the ALS spring cap housing better, and the ALS lever that used to feel anemic now has a positive tension.
